Sarah & Michael’s Hudson Valley wedding at Buttermilk Falls Inn

Sarah & Michael live in Baltimore and were married on a beautiful Saturday in May up at one of my favorite venues in New York’s Hudson Valley, Buttermilk Falls Inn. Though there was a chance of rain it held out long enough that this sweet couple was able to have their ceremony on the patio overlooking the Hudson River. I loved the vintage style veil Sarah wore with her dress, which was also stunning and perfect on her! Their ceremony was officiated by the groom’s brother and he did a great job— meanwhile the bride’s brother had us all laughing by brandishing a sword at a key moment— it was all so well done! While guests strolled up through the grounds to the Barn where the cocktail hour and reception were, I got to make some pretty portraits with Sarah & Michael— the ponds, the waterfall, the giant weeping willow trees, this place has so much to work with! For their reception the couple had hired a unique ‘dueling pianos’ act to provide music, and after some delicious farm-to-table dinner, the guests were up and on the dance floor. I was so thrilled to be there to capture this lovely wedding— congratulations to Sarah & Michael!
