Amanda contacted me a few months ago eager to plan an engagement session with her fiance Glen during their first trip to New York City this fall. Having both studied in California, they now live back home in Singapore, and were excited to see New York City in one of it’s most glorious moments– at the peak of fall when the leaves were changing. Amanda was on the hunt for her wedding gown during their trip and they had gotten reservations at a number of amazing restaurants throughout the week. You might have called it a pre-honeymoon, they were having such a great vacation! I was delighted to capture this special moment in their lives and make portraits that show off what a truly adorable and happy couple these two make. Amanda has a gorgeous smile as you can see– Glen is one lucky fellow! We started our walk at Columbus Circle and walked through the south end of Central Park, then through some street scenes to the subway, which we took down to Grand Central to cap things off with shots of them in that landmark train station. The funniest moment was probably when I realized that they were not accustomed to seeing squirrels… and of course there were squirrels scurrying up and down the trees surprising them right and left down in the park. Check out my favorites from our shoot!
