Brittany & Sean Wedding at The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls

Brittany & Sean planned a beautiful June wedding at The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls, one of my favorite venues in New York’s Hudson Valley region.  I arrived early and found Brittany’s hair and makeup was right on schedule— always great news for the photographer who wants to stick to the timeline!  After putting on her incredible lace-covered gown, we went outside to meet up with Sean for a first look— little did he know there was a pretty exciting gift in store for him!  Brittany had bought him a rolex as a wedding gift and after a traditional first look we had him turn around so she could get out the box and “propose to him” with it.  Such a sweet moment— and of course he had a gift for her in exchange!  Other highlights of the day included a traditional hand-fasting during the ceremony, a ’second line’ of sorts during the recessional which featured the couple with parasols followed by the band and their wedding party dancing their way back down the aisle, and an absolutely incredible performance by the wedding band, NYC Swing.  Their little dog, Harper, the ‘Dog of Honor,’ made some pretty cute appearances during portraits and ceremony too.  I was particularly delighted by a little series of shots my 2nd shooter captured of a hilarious interaction between a flower girl and a ring bearer while I was busy doing the family formals.  We had a blast shooting this wonderful wedding and send out a hearty congratulations to Brittany & Sean and their families!
