It was almost peak leaf season and though Hurricane Helene has devastated many areas throughout the region, we were mostly pretty lucky over here in Leicester and aside from the power outage, some creek floods, trees down, and road damage here and there, the impacts were more manageable here than in many towns across the region.
James and I were fellow students in a Permaculture Design Certificate program at Earthaven Ecovillage last fall and it turned out he and his family live just a few minutes down the road from me in Leicester! I was thrilled when he connected with me to see about some family portraits this fall, and I couldn’t wait to utilize the beautiful backgrounds of the land they are living on, seen here! The memories they are creating with their young daughter on this beautiful property must be simply magical, and I hope my photographs will bring these memories rushing back to her decades from now!
Check out some of my favorites featuring the family dog, mountain views, some very cute goats, a golf cart ride, and more!
