Sarah & Pete’s intimate wedding at wave hill and riverdale yacht club

Sarah & Pete planned an intimate wedding with close friends and family to take place at Wave Hill, a park they love to visit, with a small reception to take place nearby at Riverdale Yacht Club. I was so honored they chose me to capture this very special occasion in their lives. Due to the extremely hot weather that day they chose to instead hold their ceremony indoors at Wave Hill House, which was quite sensible and appreciated by their guests, no doubt. After their moving ceremony, guests were treated to champagne while the couple signed their marriage license. We ventured out to the terrace overlooking the Hudson river and captured a series of family group pictures to commemorate the special occasion, and then I was lucky enough to have some time to shoot some couple portraits of this wonderful couple around the beautiful grounds of Wave Hill. Many thanks to Michael, who gave us a lift on a golf cart as we hopped between a few choice spots for pictures so as to make the most of this time. We all loaded up into a shuttle bus and headed to the Riverdale Yacht Club just a short drive away, and here I was able to capture some lovely portraits of the couple right down near the river with the bridge in the distance.
