Jake & Stevie’s engagement portraits in Dumbo, Brooklyn

Jake & Stevie are getting married at The Palm House at Brooklyn Botanic Garden next May, when spring flowers will be in full bloom, so for their engagement portraits we decided to shoot featuring the beauty of the city, in DUMBO Brooklyn. I love this area as it offers such a great mix of backgrounds on the surrounding streets plus when you’re down by the water you get some of the best views anywhere! The Brooklyn Bridge is majestic and we arranged our shoot so that we’d arrive down by the water just in time for sunset and the ensuing turning on of lights in the Manhattan skyline. You never know what sunset will be like but we lucked out with a mix of beautiful color and thick gorgeous clouds– the perfect romantic backdrop for this amazing couple!
