Maura and Andrew’s Wedding at Liberty Warehouse

Maura & Andrew were married on the first Saturday in June at one of Brooklyn’s hottest venues, The Liberty Warehouse, in Red Hook. This unique location is right on the water with an incredible view of the Statue of Liberty and of course the Manhattan Skyline is up to the north. I arrived to find Maura and her bridesmaids enjoying getting ready together with moms and a grandmother in attendance. The bridal suite there is so spacious there was ample room for everyone to do their thing– Maura helped her friends put on these amazing versatile dresses that people can customize to wear different ways, and then put on her gorgeous lace wedding gown. Meanwhile the guys were getting geared up through a hall in the next room. After the excitement of their private first look we walked over through the park adjacent to the venue and got some lovely portraits of them there. I knew that I’d have a chance to do something better with the water after the sun wasn’t so prominent, and sure enough we got some sweet shots of them with the statue and manhattan after sunset and again after dark during a break from the action. The couple signed a Ketubah upstairs in what was a very moving ceremony, led by their officiant and friend, Maggie, and then it was on to the ceremony under a beautiful floral Chuppah with the sun shining in the background. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour there on the patio overlooking the water as the sun went down and then all were brought inside to the incredible rustic-industrial interior of Liberty Warehouse for dinner and dancing. I was super excited to see Mixtape was their band– the last time I saw them was at Andrew’s sister Tracy’s wedding to Tim! You may recognize them here in some of the photos– I loved getting to capture this reception– the crowd was so great and everyone was having an incredible time on the dance floor. Highlights included toasts from the couple’s siblings and parents, as well as a a beautiful pair of parent dances. I was so honored to be a part of this wonderful wedding!
