Mookie & Lisa: Hitched at City Hall!

Just a few days ago I got an email from Addie– her son Mookie (of kookie holiday portrait fame) was planning to get married TODAY at City Hall– was I free? Hell yes! Mookie is a musician and Lisa is a designer– funnily enough she spotted someone wearing her jeans who sat down nearby while we were waiting for their ceremony! These two looked super-cool in their wedding day clothes (um, check out the shoes!) I hadn’t ever seen a marriage at City Hall and I must admit I’ve been curious to shoot one for some time… maybe it was the fact that it was Friday, or maybe that it was because today was “Royal Wedding” friday, but once we took a number it the wait dragged on and on– I killed some time with them doing some portraits inside and out in the street and in the park… finally we got in there and the Justice of the Peace did his thing. When Mookie and Lisa were exchanging their rings both of their hands were trembling, it was so sweet. Congratulations you two!
