The Wedding of Anne & Bret

Anne and Bret are outdoorsy types of the highest order– he’s a life-long fishing fanatic and she’s a veterinarian, so of course they had their wedding at the charmingly rustic Bartlett Carry Club in the Adirondacks, and their adorable little dog performed the ringbearing duties. Anne was just stunning in Provonias, as you will see! Highlights for me included the very funny and moving toasts, and the fact that they decided to go ahead and have the ceremony outside even though it was raining lightly throughout!  It put my cameras to the test but it was a unique challenge indeed and I’m quite fond of some of the ceremony images with all the umbrellas!

My infra-red filtered take on the umbrella scene down at the ceremony area (above)

Lots of guests had umbrellas so I had Jeff go grab the ladder from the trunk so I could get this shot above…

Jeff brilliantly got up on the ladder for the recessional and nabbed this great angled shot (above) of from over the umbrellas!  I love it!

The cutest ringbearer I’ve ever seen.

reaction shots during toasts are always so fun.

Sweet, sweet wedding cake…

[…] & Jon saw me shooting at their friends’ Anne & Bret’s wedding a while back– they had been admired Anne & Bret’s guestbook of engagement portraits […]

The Wedding of Alex and Michelle at Buttermilk Falls Inn, Hudson River Valley

Alex and Michelle had a wonderful wedding up at Buttermilk Falls Inn in Milton, NY.  Her gown was by Melissa Sweet and she wore adorable purple heels to match her earrings.  These two looked simply radiant together and we lucked out with the weather and were able to do portraits all over the grounds–  the forecast had called for rain almost all day but it did NOT!  The crowd danced like there was no tomorrow and Alex himself wrote a song for Michelle that he played with the amazing live band.  What a fantastic event all around.  Congratulations, Alex and Michelle!

Kim and David are Engaged!

Kim and David are to be married on July 24th! I was so psyched when they wanted to shoot in Long Island City– my studio is, of course, in LIC but I rarely walk down to the waterfront (Gantry State Park) and I knew it would be an excellent area to shoot this sweet couple. Congratulations, Kim and David! Can’t wait for the wedding…

Why did pepsi every change this amazing logo?  Was it too similar to coka cola?

Fun with graphic foregrounds!

I love this one above.  ok, i like them all a lot but this is one of my top faves.

Who knew that there was this amazing park just a hop skip and a jump from Vernon/Jackson off the 7 train?  Methinks I’m gonna be pushing this as a new favorite location…  yes indeed.

Taking this shot got me excited about Manhattanhenge…

Kim and David work in architecture and they assured me this thing above was some sort of drainage system for the apt complexes behind it.  It’s a mighty good-looking drainage system if you ask me.  Definately worth posing in front of!  I love the neat slanted roof shape and the funny little chain… so many textures and of course those beautiful flowers made it for me.

Ah, another favorite of mine (above)… gotta love those gantries.

What a magnificent spot for a shoot.  Anyone else wanna go to LIC with me???
