I shot this portrait through the foliage at Brooklyn Botanic Garden. I love the bokeh framing them in foreground and background.

The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls is right next to a decommissioned railroad track that is beautifully overgrown in spring and summer, but visible in sections like these. I love the lines of perspective and the metaphor of the journey they are embarking on together.

The tall grasses by the beach at Bonnet Island Estate was a perfect spot to shoot this "just married" portrait.

This Greenwich, Connecticut park setting offered a natural background for an iconic wedding portrait that isolates my subjects in the beauty of nature.

I saw that the sailboat's dek was the same yellow as the bride's silk gown and I knew I had to photograph them with the lake at sunset.

The incredible trees on the grounds at Lyndhurst Castle was the perfect rich background for this couple portrait.

After a fall elopement in Central Park we took some time to walk around and make some beautiful photographs. I loved how the colors of the fall foliage were complementing the warth of this bride's gown.

I loved shooting this wedding at Alder Manor, a historic mansion with features rooms in various states of disrepair as well as a ground floor with an elegant library and ballroom, an incredible marble staircase, and grounds reminiscent of the Secret Garden and greek ruins!

I captured this portrait with the couple as they came inside to check out the space during cocktail hour before their guests were welcomed inside.

Rorie & Adam's beautiful summer wedding at The Palm House featured shades of pink and a huge wedding party and had a garden party style. The groom and his groomsmen wore these charming tan suits with a blue checked shirt and pink ties!

It rained on and off throughout the day at this Palm House wedding, but that didnt' stop Deen and Joe from walking around with me for outdoor portraits- they were prepared with these clear umbrellas, which is my photographer's recommendation if you are nervous about rain on your wedding day. Dark or colored umbrellas will shadow the face or create a color cast on your skintone.

Michelle and Dan were radiant in the rose garden at their Lyndhurst Mansion wedding in Westchester NY.

Julie and Ryan were married at Battery Gardens on the southern tip of Manhattan.

Ben built this rowboat himself with a plan to row his new wife around the pond at Buttermilk Falls after their ceremony. Though it was raining during their ceremony and the boat was a bit too wet for her to sit in, we just had to get a picture of them with it during this breif respite from the rain during cocktail hour.

I took this portrait of Lauren & Rich in the old overgrown train station at Liberty State Park in Jersey City before their ceremony and reception at Liberty House just three minutes away.

I simply had to get shots of Kelly and Scott out on this amazing dock at Bonnet Island Estate on the Jersey shore.

Jaymie & Brad drove golf carts with us out to this sweet bridge on the golf course at Fresh Meadow Country Club.

Carrie and Brian stepped outside the tent reception for a few minutes at sunset to get a portrait with the ocean view from Belle Haven Club in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Katie and Sharmilan adore their french bulldog Wilbur and we just had to get a sweet family portrait of the three of them at their wedding at Buttermilk Falls in the Hudson Valley.

The staircase between the Bethesda Fountain and the Mall at Central Park is a beautiful and iconic spot for a wedding portrait. I got super lucky with the timing of this mid-afternoon wedding and there was nobody else around when we took this shot.

I love to sneak outside for a night portrait with couples if they are game to leave the reception for a quick few minute at some point. Julie and Ryan are shown on the patio at Battery Gardens with it's lovely lanterns.

This little walkway at Bonnet Island Estate with soft pink flowers provided a beautiful framing device for a walking shot of Kelly and Scott.

Tracey and Ben definitely wanted a shot with the vintage convertable that was to be their getaway car at the end of this vintage DIY themed wedding at Alder Manor.

When I saw the amazing lines of perspective I had to shoot this portrait. I love the colorful reflections of the people behind this couple playing on the walls around them.

I love shooting through foliage, or in this case creating a nice blurry bokeh in the foreground wtih some branches framing the couple on the left. The red maple behind them makes them pop and I loved the graphic lines in the greenhouse to the right.

I love capturing a couple's dynamic together- Jason was a writer on The Daily Show so I knew I'd have to get a shot of the way he makes Katie laugh. What a delightful smile she has!

Lara and Nicole were married at The Green Building in Brooklyn and on that very day an artist was painting this particular mural behind them. It's gone now but will live on in their wedding photographs.

It brings me so much joy to find street art that can complement a couple's portrait-- this grafitti heart was perfect for a portrait in front of this SoHo doorway.

I absolutely loved the textures at The Metropolitan Building. It's the perfect venue for a vintage-modern wedding and is a little out of the way of the hustle and bustle of NYC over in Long Island City.

Marisa and Nolan were married at Housing Works Bookstore in Soho. We walked around the neighborhood and when I saw the blue and orange tones on this signage and how they would match the groom's suit and tie I just had to shoot them with it.

We stopped on the way from the church to the Prospect Park Picnic house for some pictures with the Arch at Grand Army Plaza. They're shown here walking back to their limo. I loved it in color with the fall leaves, but in black and white it looks so majestic, don't you think?
